Attracco a Umbertide


🇮🇹 Giorno della prova del nove?

In realtá, dopo il previsto tratto lento in Toscana, oggi avrebbe dovuto essere il primo dei 50km giornalieri. Invece non siamo andati oltre i 35km.

Oltre al trasbordo per la diga di Umbertide, c'è stato bisogno di un ulteriore trasbordo prima della cittá in questione. A causa di uno sbarramento con poca acqua, che avrebbe letteralmente spezzato il kayak.

Oltre a questo, sempre il livello basso del fiume, ha creato problemi nelle numerose rapide.

Morale basso quindi, ma in fin dei conti una bella giornata.

Se il tratto precedente era il mondo dell"avventura", questo era sicuramente il "mondo delle fiabe".

E come recitava una nota canzone "domani è un altro giorno, si vedrá".

🇬🇧 Day of the litmus test?

 In reality, after the expected slow stretch in Tuscany, today should have been the first of the 50km per day.  Instead we didn't go beyond 35km.

 In addition to the transhipment for the Umbertide dam, there was a need for a further transhipment before the city in question.  Due to a weir with little water, which would have literally broken the kayak.

 In addition to this, the always low level of the river has created problems in the numerous rapids.

 Low morale then, but all in all a good day.

 If the previous trait was the world of adventure, this was definitely the world of fairy tales.

 And as a well-known song said "tomorrow is another day, we'll see".

Passaggio alla chiusa di Villa Pitigliano 🇮🇹 Che dire alla chiusura di questi tre giorni e mezzo: posti spettacolari. Ti trovi immerso in un mondo che sembra estraneo a ciò che lo circonda. Spesso ci siamo trovati a paragonare i luoghi che attraversavamo ad altre parti del mondo viste nei film. Cosí ad esempio il settore toscano sotto al diluvio e con le cornacchie che gracchiano diventa il Mekong con le scimmie urlatrici...e magari sull'argine sinistro avevi una fattoria con stalle e campi coltivati. Il campo sul fiume è sempre bellissimo, ed addormentarsi con il fruscio dell'acwua che scorre è veramente rilassante. Comunque alla fine abbiamo percorso 102km, e considerando le difficoltá incontrate, non sembra neanche una percorrenza irrisoria. Torneremo sicuramente a completare questa discesa, fino alla Capitale. 🇮🇹 PREPARAZIONE: il percorso - 🇬🇧 PREPARATION: the trail

  🇮🇹 Per non trovarsi in difficoltá, la preparzione di un viaggio deve essere la piú accurata possibile. 🇮🇹 Giorno 3 - 🇬🇧 Day 3

  Parlesca - Ponte S. Giovanni Campo sul fiume 🇮🇹 L'acqua del Tevere continua ad avere un livello molto basso, e questo fa si che molti punti creino problemi. Una volta abbiamo dovuto trainare i kayak sul greto del fiume, e ben quattro volte abbiamo dovuto trasbordare via terra. Questo ha mantenuto bassa la media chilometrica anche oggi: 26km. Credo proprio che non riusciremo ad arrivare a Roma, dato che i giorni di vacanza stanno per finire. 🇬🇧 The water of the Tiber continues to have a very low level, and this causes many points to create problems.  Once we had to tow the kayaks across the riverbed, and four times we had to transship overland.  This kept the average kilometers low even today: 26km.  I really think we won't be able to get to Rome, as the vacation days are about to end.
