🇮🇹 Non abbiamo mai viaggiato in kayak o canoa, pertanto non siamo pratici su cosa portare. 

Ci baseremo pertanto sulla nostra esperienza di viaggi in moto fuoristrada e trekking per decidere cosa potrebbe esserci utile. Alla fine, anche in quei casi, le parole d'ordine somo leggerezza e praticitá.

🇬🇧 We have never traveled by kayak or canoe so we are unfamiliar with what to bring.

 We will therefore base ourselves on our experience of dirtbike-travel and trekking to decide what could be useful for us.  In the end, even in those cases, the watchwords are lightness and practicality.


🇮🇹 Oltre al kayak, alla pagaia con sagola perchè non ci sfugga accidentalmente in acqua, e al salvagente, viaggeremo con costume da bagno, una t-shirt molto leggera e traspirante, cosicchè possa anche asciugarsi velocemente dopo il lavaggio quotidiano. 

 Ai piedi indosseremo delle scarpette da scoglio, molto comode e leggere. Questo sia perchè i piedi non vengano sollecitati sotto la pianta durante la spinta sull'apposito supporto del kayak per la pagaiata, e impediscano sulla riva di sporcarsi troppo col fango. Inoltre saranno sufficientemente comode per affrontare i marciapiedi quando dovremmo entrare in paese per le provviste.

 Non dovendo incontrare tratti di fiume troppo tumultuosi, e comunque non essendo con la nostra preparazione in grado di affrontarli, piuttosto che un caschetto abbiamo preferito adottare un cappello che possa proteggere dal sole.

🇬🇧In addition to the kayak, the paddle with rope so that it won't accidentally slip into the water, and the life jacket, we will travel with a swimsuit, a very light and breathable t-shirt, so that it can also dry quickly after daily washing.

 On our feet we will wear reef shoes, very comfortable and light.  This is so that the feet are not stressed under the sole while pushing on the appropriate support of the kayak for paddling, and to prevent getting too dirty on the river shore with mud.  They will also be comfortable enough to tackle the sidewalks, when we need to enter town for supplies.

 Not having to encounter stretches  too hard, and in any case not being able to face them, we preferred to adopt a hat that could protect us from the sun rather than a helmet.


🇮🇹 La tenda sará una unica, da quattro posti in modo da essere sicuri di riposare bene.

🇬🇧 The tent will be a single one, with four places in order to be sure of a good rest.


🇮🇹 Il resto del materiale, qui di seguito elencato e fotografato, sará trasportato nello zaino della sacca idrica, oltre che in due piccole sacche stagne, cosí da poter piú facilmente distribuire i pesi nel kayak. 

🇬🇧 The rest of the material, listed and photographed below, will be transported in the backpack of the water bag, as well as in two small watertight bags, so as to be able to more easily distribute the weights in the kayak.

🇮🇹 considerazioni non finali - 🇬🇧 not-final considerations

Passaggio alla chiusa di Villa Pitigliano 🇮🇹 Che dire alla chiusura di questi tre giorni e mezzo: posti spettacolari. Ti trovi immerso in un mondo che sembra estraneo a ciò che lo circonda. Spesso ci siamo trovati a paragonare i luoghi che attraversavamo ad altre parti del mondo viste nei film. Cosí ad esempio il settore toscano sotto al diluvio e con le cornacchie che gracchiano diventa il Mekong con le scimmie urlatrici...e magari sull'argine sinistro avevi una fattoria con stalle e campi coltivati. Il campo sul fiume è sempre bellissimo, ed addormentarsi con il fruscio dell'acwua che scorre è veramente rilassante. Comunque alla fine abbiamo percorso 102km, e considerando le difficoltá incontrate, non sembra neanche una percorrenza irrisoria. Torneremo sicuramente a completare questa discesa, fino alla Capitale.   🇮🇹 Per non trovarsi in difficoltá, la preparzione di un viaggio deve essere la piú accurata possibile. 🇮🇹 Giorno 3 - 🇬🇧 Day 3

  Parlesca - Ponte S. Giovanni Campo sul fiume 🇮🇹 L'acqua del Tevere continua ad avere un livello molto basso, e questo fa si che molti punti creino problemi. Una volta abbiamo dovuto trainare i kayak sul greto del fiume, e ben quattro volte abbiamo dovuto trasbordare via terra. Questo ha mantenuto bassa la media chilometrica anche oggi: 26km. Credo proprio che non riusciremo ad arrivare a Roma, dato che i giorni di vacanza stanno per finire. 🇬🇧 The water of the Tiber continues to have a very low level, and this causes many points to create problems.  Once we had to tow the kayaks across the riverbed, and four times we had to transship overland.  This kept the average kilometers low even today: 26km.  I really think we won't be able to get to Rome, as the vacation days are about to end.
